P-Ethylphenol is an intermediate in organic synthesis, colorless or white needle-like crystals, which can be yellowed by light. It has a strong wood-phenol odor with a slight sweet aroma, slightly soluble in water, easily soluble in ethanol, ether, acetone, benzene and carbon disulfide. In natural, it could be found in passion fruit. It can be used as raw material in the production of phenolic, rubber anti-aging agent, plastic anti-aging agent, surfactant, non-ionic emulsifier, synthetic flavor and pesticides; it can also be used in the production of food flavor.
